Why another tools site?
Because the existing ones are exhausting. You land on a page covered in ad slots, upload a private document to a stranger's server, wait in a queue, hit a daily limit, and then get asked to sign up before you can download the result.
Browsers can do all of this work themselves now. Every tool here runs as JavaScript on your own machine, so your files are never transmitted anywhere, there is nothing to queue, and there is no limit for me to enforce. It also means the whole site is a few static files — which is why it can stay free.
It's built and maintained by one person in their spare time. That's the entire operation: no company, no investors, no growth targets.
